A rollover trend from last year I have noticed quite a few fruit prints on the high street over the past few weeks. From fruit print co-ords from Topshop to matching family fruit print beachwear from Next.
Over the past decade or so, ironic, iconic fruit prints have reemerged on the runways, from Phoebe Philo’s Spring 2004 bananas at Chloé to Stella McCartney’s tropical fruit salad of Spring 2011 to Louis Vuitton’s cherries of Spring 2018. Why not? Fashion has come to embrace irony now more than ever, with the boundaries of seriousness and frivolousness blurring.
I’ve always been a tad partial to a novelty fruit bag, I blame Kate Spade. My first was a lemon bag that I bought years ago, so from that I now have a pineapple one, lemon clutch and so on. So love anything with a fruity undertone! I love the Monsoon half moon bag below so much fun.
I have listed below some of my favourites from cherries to banana’s there is a fruity print for everyone.
